Who’s Behind the Brand?
In a world of international exchanges and an increasing will for sustainable development, Pakal Etnik Surf Poncho was created with multicultural influences and through a responsible production that supports local communities, more particularly the Mayan population.
To cut the long story short, Pakal Etnik Surf Poncho is the product of collaboration of a Franco-Mexican team inspired by the surf culture of French west-cost and the colorful fabrics and textile knowledge of the Mayan culture.
The Ponchos are produced by artisans of Mayan backgrounds in Fred and Minelia’s small workshop in Yucatan, Mexico. The distribution is developed by Michèle, Fred and Minelia’s daughter, and Jeremie, her partner and photographer from Capbreton.
Together, this small team works to propose an exotic Surf Poncho, inspired by cultural exchanges and the love of the ocean.
The Brand’s CEOs
Pakal Etnik Surf Poncho could not resist having not only one but two multitask CEOs. Their involvement goes from strategic decision making to dealing with our orders pick-packing down to biking to the post office for expeditions.
